The First London 03Oct ~ 07Oct 2006
Sorry about not updating so often. Been really busy going out that I cannot spare 15 min of my precious time updating this blog for the posterity of mankind ... nah ... full of s**t.. haha
Anyway, It was not that nice cos i lost my cargo bag on the first night, but then it came by the second day morning. Hehe. My mistake actually, cos i wrote the wrong flight number down, so it was delivered according to my written label.
I did not do the usual London sight-seeing tours, but decided, what better way to enjoy London by going for a musical in the West End. Further, it was not easy to find like-minded crew that will enjoy such performances.
So with that, we set off for lunch on the second day. After lunch, we split from the rest of the group to tube down to Piccadily Circus for our musical reservations. We booked the musical, Phantom of the Opera. We walked down to Oxford street for shopping in the afternoon. Went into Topshop and I bought a scarf, which will be featured in my next trip. Hehe. Wanted to go into Muji, but was distracted by Marks & Spencers supermarket. Things are expensive there, multiplying everything by 3 makes things much simpler and costlier.
After carting through the supermarket, we went back to hotel for a rest before heading down to the Musical. It was an enjoyable night, seeing actors brnging the story to life with limited props and space. We took the Royal Circle seats, which are about the best seats in the house, costing £50 per seat. Anyway, after the musical, we headed down to MOS (Ministry of Sound) located at Gaunt St., near the tube station Elephant & Castle. We were disappointed as the club was closed, so we took a sad memorabilia of the front gate, showing that we were there. Will need to check more thoroughly before heading there next time.
Still have many more places to visit in London, waiting for my next trip there, meanwhile, i got many activites prepared for my next journey to Europe. That's to København, or Copenhagen. Printed out a stack of itineries, hope there is time to do all of it. Meanwhile I'll leave you all with the photos from London.
